Solon, N.Y. — One person died Wednesday morning in Cortland County after a car drove off a road and struck a tree, sheriff’s deputies said.
The car was driving north around 3:53 a.m. on Stillwell Road in the the town of Solon when the driver of the vehicle lost control, driving off the road, deputies said in a news release.
One person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was taken to a hospital and has been released, deputies said.
