Hometown artists who have forged successful careers in other major cities will return to the Crouse-Hinds Theater to head up the orchestra and singers in two performances of Symphoria’s annual holiday show. Sean O’Loughlin, who is known internationally for composing, conducting, and mentoring young musicians, will conduct. Katie Weber, who launched her performance career in New York City, will be the soloist. Both grew up in Syracuse.
Joining them on stage will be the Syracuse Pops Chorus, directed by Lou Lemos, and the Syracuse Community Gospel Choir, directed by Cora Thomas. With all the singers joining the full orchestra of professional musicians, the concert, according to Weber is a “big warm holiday hug for our audience.”
