Manlius, N.Y. — A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday for intentionally driving into a telephone pole in Manlius, police said.

At 11:55 a.m. Dec. 11, Dhulfiqar A. Waheeb, of Jamesville, drove his red 2008 Ford Mustang into a telephone pole on East Genesee Street in front of the Empower Federal Credit Union at 7320 East Genesee St., according to a news release from Manlius police. He was driving at a “high rate of speed,” police said.
