54-year-old man shot in foot in Syracuse, police say

Syracuse, NY - A 54-year-old man was shot in the foot overnight, according to Syracuse police.

The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital by private vehicle after the shooting, according to Lt. Matt Malinowski, a spokesperson for the Syracuse police. Officers responded to the hospital to investigate.

The shooting was reported about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Police are looking into where the man was shot, Malinowski said Tuesday.

He said the man is expected to survive.
