56-year-old man shot in leg, brought to St Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 56-year-old man was shot in the leg and brought to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse Thursday night, police said.

At 10:01 p.m. a man was dropped off at St. Joseph’s Hospital at 301 Prospect Ave in Syracuse, said Lt. Matthew Malinowski.

He was transferred to Upstate University Hospital and is expected to survive, Malinowski said.

Police are still trying to find where the shooting happened, Malinowski said.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call them at (315) 442-5222.
