Syracuse, N.Y. — The team behind the planned Salina 1st project south of downtown is looking at more than doubling the number of apartments in the project to help address Syracuse’s housing shortage.

The mixed-use project at 1081 S. Salina St. was originally planned to have 24 one- and two-bedroom apartments, along with 23,000 square feet of light industrial and office space.
