The second big Saturday of College Bowl Season kicks off with Arkansas State Red Wolves vs. Northern Illinois Huskies at the 2023 Camellia Bowl at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama on December 23 (12/23/2023) at 12 p.m. ET.

Arkansas State (6-6) became bowl eligible when they beat Texas State 77-31 in their penultimate game of the regular season, posting the highest single-team score in a conference game all season along the way. They went on to lose 35-21 to Marshall in their last showing. They’ll bring quarterback Jaylen Raynor, the Sun Belt freshman of the year, with 2,293 yards passing, 15 touchdowns, six interceptions and five rushing TDs to bear against their bowl opponents.
The Huskies are also 6-6 ahead of the bowl after turning a losing season around in the final leg of the season, to win five of their last seven games. That includes the 37-37 win over Kent State in their last outing. The Huskies will try to slow down Arkansas State with their 6th-ranked defense, that allows just 163.9 per game.
Arkansas State is making its third Camellia Bowl appearance, while the Huskies are making their debut. The Red Wolves hold a 2-1 all-time head-to-head lead over their opponents.
