Montezuma, N.Y. — A Cayuga County judge should be fully removed from the bench for misconduct, a state commission said Thursday.

The state Commission on Judicial Conduct said William Futrell, a justice of the Montezuma Town Court, posted Nazi imagery on his Facebook page and had liked Facebook pages that denigrated and objectified women.

Futrell was elected in 2019 on the Republican and Conservative party lines to a four-year term, and did not run for re-election this year.
