Cicero, N.Y. — A Christmas Eve fire that killed a 100-year-old woman was caused by an electrical failure, investigators said.

Mary A. Howard, 100, was pronounced dead as a result of the fire, according to Cicero police chief Steve Rotunno. She was the sole resident of the home at 5657 Central Ave. The fire was reported shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday.
