Company news: Scott Fleischer and Tom Paul promoted by Barclay Damon law firm

Barclay Damon announced two elevations to the law firm’s partnership. Both were formerly counsel.

Scott Fleischer is a member of the restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights and commercial litigation practice areas and the hotels, hospitality and food service team. He focuses his practice on representing landlords in retail bankruptcy and lease default matters. Fleischer’s experience also includes representing creditors’ committees, debtors and debtor affiliates, individual creditors, Chapter 7 trustees, and other constituents in complex bankruptcy matters. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Fleischer handles commercial litigation matters, such as helping landlords pursue evictions and recoveries from their tenants.

Tom Paul is a member of the environmental, energy, and regulatory practice areas. He is also a member of the firm’s outdoor and wildlife, renewable energy, and oil and gas teams. Paul routinely advises energy and other project developers, investors, and other clients on environmental permitting and transactional due diligence to identify and manage environmental risks, including evaluating compliance, drafting purchase agreements, and negotiating with governmental agencies and private parties. He regularly performs due diligence reviews for wind, solar, and hydro generation asset portfolios and advises clients about the Office of Renewable Energy Siting and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s wetland and wildlife requirements.

Barclay Damon has nearly 300 attorneys in offices located in the Northeastern United States and Toronto.
