McMahon wants to spend $30 million to boost development and housing: Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon will ask the county Legislature today for $30 million for a variety of community development projects, including sprucing up villages, building new housing and boosting agricultural tourism. McMahon’s plan would also establish a new fund for giving small businesses loans to expand. The plan is meant to help pave the way for growth expected from Micron Technology’s planned semiconductor plant in the town of Clay, scheduled to start construction next year.
