Doja Cat’s brother accused of assaulting her

ET reports Doja Cat’s older brother has been accused of assaulting her in a Los Angeles court filing. A temporary restraining order filed by the singer’s mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, says Raman Dalithando Dlamini allegedly knocked out Doja’s teeth and inflicted cuts and bruises on her. The domestic violence claims also include “degrading and demeaning” instances of verbal assault against the Grammy-winning “Say So” singer, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zadile Dlamini. Raman is also accused of stealing and damaging some of Doja’s personal belongings as well as physically abusing their mother, Deborah, and threatening violence.

‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ sequel

A “Wizards of Waverly Place” sequel s in the works with Selena Gomez and David Henrie reprising their roles as Alex and Justin Russo, respectively. E! News reports Henrie will be a regular cast member in the spinoff and Gomez will guest star on the pilot episode; both will also serve as executive producers. “We’re back,” Gomez confirmed on Instagram. The original Disney Channel show ran from 2007 to 2012 and centered on siblings with magic powers. The new series will also add Janice LeAnn Brown (”Euphoria”), Alkaio Thiele (”Call Me Kat”) and Mimi Gianopulos (”Rutherford Falls”) as cast members.

TGIF: New music out this week includes Green Day’s “Saviors” album and Dolly Parton’s expanded “Rockstar” album, plus releases from Mumford & Sons/Pharrell Williams, Sierra Ferrell, Norah Jones, Bleachers, Cage the Elephant, Kungs/David Guetta, and Modern English. Green Day promoted their music with a surprise subway busking performance on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon.
