Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 25-year-old Syracuse man who died after a police patrol car hit him while he was riding an electric bike has been identified by his family.

The man — Qian Adams — decided to make a quick trip to the Mobil convenience store on Hiawatha Boulevard West shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, according to Adam’s sister. Adams hopped on a Veo electric bike and never made it home, she told syracuse.com.
