Syracuse, N.Y. — Five people were displaced from a North Side home in Syracuse Saturday when a fire started in the back of house and spread to a second floor.

Firefighters were called at 4:33 p.m. to 156 Mary St., where they saw fire and smoke coming from the home, said District Chief Matthew Craner, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Fire Department.
