DeWitt, N.Y. — A tractor-trailer flipped onto its side late Tuesday morning in DeWitt, closing an exit from Interstate 481 South.

Police and fire responded around 11:20 a.m. to a report of a rollover crash on the ramp from the highway to eastbound East Genesee Street, according to Fayetteville Fire Chief Paul Hildreth. He said the tractor-trailer was likely traveling too quickly.

Hildreth said the tractor-trailer was not carrying hazardous materials. He added that the driver suffered only minor injuries.

The off-ramp for Exit 3E (Fayetteville) was closed at 11:30 a.m., according to 511NY. It reopened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
