Solvay, N.Y. — A former Solvay code enforcement officer charged in a lawsuit that the village fired him in retaliation for reporting to the state code violations in village hall.

Aaron Sauer, 43, said he was let go in August 2022 after citing problems with electrical equipment, workplace violence and blocked entries and exits.
