UTSA (8-4) has a streak of bad luck at bowl games, where they are 0-4, but will try to end that narrative against Marshall (6-6) at the Frisco Bowl. Marshall is a whopping 13-5 at bowl games, giving the Herd the highest winning percentage among teams with at least 10 bowl appearances.
Marshall closed out its regular season with a 35-21 win over Arkansas State to become one of 12 Sun Belt teams to qualify for bowls this season — the most of any conference. UTSA fell 29-16 to a tough ranked opponent in No. 23 Tulane in its last appearance.
