When Baldwinsville cheerleading coach Cassidy Christiansen was a member of the Bees’ varsity squad 13 years ago, her team hosted their first-ever “Bling It On” cheer competition.
Now, the second-year coach is responsible for organizing the event that has grown into one of the largest regular-season competitions in Central New York. More than 30 teams registered to compete on Saturday at Baker High School.
