Interstate 690 east will be closed between Midler Avenue and Thompson Road for overnight construction starting at 8 p.m. today, according to the NYS Department of Transportation.
The highway is expected to reopen at 6 a.m. Friday.
The state is replacing the fascia beam carrying Midler Avenue over I-690.
Traffic will have to detour from Midler Avenue Exit 15 to Erie Boulevard to Thompson Road and back to I-690 east. Thompson Road is Exit 16S.
The work is weather dependent.
