Syracuse, N.Y. — Two job fields in Central New York are projected to double their worker totals or more by 2030, according to data from the state Labor Department.

The job count for cooks in restaurants will swell by over 1,900 jobs to a total of more than 4,000. That’s an increase of over 114%.
