Onondaga, N.Y. — A Camillus man was accused Monday of hitting a man with a pickup truck Thursday evening in the town of Onondaga and driving away.

The man hit was found dead in a ditch the next afternoon.

Jeffery Cleeton, 55, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, said Tom Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
