Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 44-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday to fatally shooting a man later found in the trunk of a car in Syracuse in 2021.

Gamalier Lacen-Medina pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the death of Edwin DeJesus, 40, in exchange for a sentence of 17 years in state prison.
