Many people are surprised to learn that the CNYSPCA has small animals! At any time, we have an ever-changing assortment of bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, birds – the list goes on! (Check out https://cnyspca.org/adopt-a-small-critter/.)

These adorable guinea pigs, Wilbur and Templeton, need a home!

This bonded male pair are two years old and came to the shelter when their family was unable to care for them.

Piggies make great pets; they’re small, alert, and learn to recognize their family. However, they do require daily care, special food, and have specific health needs. They’re a commitment and can live for five to seven years.

As always, please do your research before adopting any pet! Our knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be happy to answer your questions.

In order to adopt, you must fill out an application, pay an adoption fee, and have your pets up to date on their rabies vaccines. All adopted cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on their vaccinations before they go home.
