Syracuse, N.Y. — The mother of a teen who was driving a stolen car that was fired on by a deputy, killing two other teens, has taken the first step to sue the deputy and sheriff’s office.

Lacey Wright filed a notice of claim against the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy John Rosello on behalf of her son, according to paperwork filed in court. A notice of claim is the first step toward filing a lawsuit.
