Death of 21-year-old Oswego County woman appears to not be a homicide, troopers say

Mexico, N.Y. — There is no indication of a homicide in the death of an Oswego County woman found dead in a creek last week, troopers said.

Homicide was ruled out in the death of Jordan Novak, 21, but the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office is still waiting for toxicology results, according to Trooper Jack Keller, a spokesperson for the state police. Toxicology results may take several weeks to return.
