Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 77-year-old man killed after being hit by a vehicle near Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse has been identified.

On Dec. 4, the man — Ronald Laventure — was crossing Almond Street when a vehicle hit him near the Interstate 81 ramp, Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse police spokesperson, has said.
