DeWitt, N.Y. — Two people were found dead Monday afternoon in a DeWitt home, according to police.
The two appeared to have been shot to death, said Lt. Jerry Pace, a spokesperson for the DeWitt police.
There were indications of a struggle in the home, but investigators don’t know yet if the struggle was between the two people found dead or if there were intruders, Pace said.
He said the two found dead were in a relationship. Pace said that DeWitt police have responded to the house for calls before but did not specify what type of calls.
An initial call shortly after 1 p.m. to the Onondaga County 911 Center was for a shooting at the single-family home at 6691 W. Benedict Road.
The caller reported finding two bodies, dispatchers told police.
