Popular Buffalo attorney warns Bills Mafia: Do not feed the pit

Proposals for new and improved sports stadiums are proliferating across the U.S. — and could come with a hefty price tag for taxpayers. This past year alone, roughly a dozen Major League Baseball and National Football League franchises took steps toward building new stadiums or making major renovations to their current ones. Jump in the pit? He can’t do... anything to help.

Popular Buffalo attorney William Mattar gave some free legal advice to the Bills Mafia on Twitter leading up to the Buffalo Bills’ divisional round matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Do not jump in the pit located at the home of the Bills’ future stadium.

Much like sweet potatoes a few years ago, some Bills fans are giving credit to a pit located at the future home of the Bills as a source of good luck.

After starting 0-1 this season, a Bills fan trespassed into the home of the future Highmark Stadium and fell into the pit. Buffalo would rattle off three straight blowout victories following the incident. After some struggles on the field that had Buffalo’s season on the brink, two more people were arrested at the site of Buffalo’s future stadium before the Bills’ home matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Since that point, Buffalo has rattled off five straight wins including their 31-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wild Card weekend.

A satirical TikTok only furthered the legend of the pit leading up to the Pittsburgh game on Monday.

Mattar’s tweet garnered plenty of responses from Bills fans and he seemed to enjoy interacting with the fan base.
