Syracuse, N.Y. — Possible flooding followed by wet snow is heading to Syracuse for the start of the week.

On Sunday rains will start in Syracuse a little after 8 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. It is expected to be a heavy downpour at times.

The rains could cause some flooding, weather officials said. Wind gusts could reach 30 to 40 miles per hour, bringing down trees and wires with them. One to one and a half inches of rain are expected for Syracuse.
