Syracuse, NY - Lasasha Lemons-Taylor was cooking dinner June 19 in her new home while her three kids played outside in the front yard at 1112 S. Geddes St.

They had moved from Boston six months before. She wanted a fresh start in an area where she could afford a home. She loved her $42,000 house built in 1900. It needed some work, but she was ready to do it.
