Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing a handgun as a convicted felon.

Nyquest Robinson, 20, was found with a loaded handgun in May after parole officers making checks on parolees confronted him at a Syracuse convenience store, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York said in a news release.

Robinson fled the officers but was quickly detained, investigators said in his criminal complaint.
