Syracuse, NY - Work has begun on the $75 million project that will turn the former Central High School in Syracuse into Central New York’s first regional high school devoted to preparing students for careers in science, technology, engineering, art and math.

The project started last month with work on the roof to ensure the building is protected from the snow. Interior renovations are expected to start in early 2024, according to STEAM Executive Director Jody Manning.
