Syracuse, N.Y. -- Two teens admitted this week to participating in a Syracuse man’s murder during a robbery in 2022.

Tremaine Davis, 17, and Geremiah Burrell, 17, both pleaded guilty to second-degree murder this week in connection with the fatal shooting of Isaiah Hudson, 25, in Carbon Street. The two were set to go to trial in early January.

On Friday, Davis pleaded guilty in exchange for a sentence of 17 years to life in prison. Davis is accused of shooting Hudson.

On Monday, Burrell, who is not accused of shooting Hudson, pleaded guilty to the murder charge and first-degree attempted robbery.

The murder charge will be dropped because Burrell agreed to testify against Davis. That means Burrell will be sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempted robbery, prosecutor Rob Moran said.

A third co-defendant, Carlito Walls, 17, also previously pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted robbery.

The three teens were accused of luring Hudson to Carbon Street on Oct. 2, 2022, with the intent to rob him at gunpoint during a scheduled drug deal, police said in court documents.

Hudson was shot in the head while trying to drive off, according to the complaint. He was later taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

All three 17-year-olds were facing 25 years to life in prison. They will all be sentenced in January.
