Quaids.jpgActor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi are shown outside their lawyer's office in Vancouver, on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010. They fled to Canada last month and were arrested in Vancouver on a warrant from California. They are now free on bond.

Randy and Evi Quaid appeared today on "Good Morning America," to address their strange behavior. The couple said they fled to Canada to escape a Hollywood-focused mafia. They told reporter Andrea Canning that the "star whackers," are attempting to kill them for their money. They said the "whackers" have stalked them, bugged their phones and hacked into their computers.

They denied that they are on drugs or mentally unstable.

"To have my integrity and my reputation denigrated so mercilessly, why?" Randy asked. "Why would someone want to do this to me?"

"We are refugees," Evi said. "Hollywood refugees. I genuinely feel like these people are trying to kill us."

The Quaids also claim that other celebrities are possible victims. Evi says the death of Heath Ledger and David Carradine are set ups.

They even gave warning to Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

The Quaids are wanted by California police for vandalizing their former Santa Barbara home. They have frequently missed court appearances in the past for a now-resolved U.S. case involving charges they defrauded an innkeeper. The Quaids fled to Canada last month claiming that their lives are in danger.
