Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has opted out of the bowl game after becoming the Big Ten’s career leader in yards passing in his final game, in which Maryland beat Rutgers 42-20 to finish 7-5 for the regular season. Tagovailoa has led the Terrapins to three straight bowl appearances.
The Tigers became bowl eligible in their 48-10 win over Arkansas on November 11, but dropped their last two games of the season, including a 27-24 loss to Alabama to close out the schedule. Auburn will be without its own heavy hitter, Marcus Harris, who declared for the NFL draft after his best season to date.
This is the first meeting between Auburn and Maryland since 1983, when Auburn won 35-23. Here’s how to watch the game.
