More than 288,000 people are collecting a New York state pension worth at least $20,000 a year, according records from the state Comptroller’s Office.

Of those, 3.4%, or more than 9,800 individuals, are getting $100,000 a year or more and 61 are getting $200,000 or more. The average benefit across all pensioners on the list is about $45,000.
