Palladian Hall at The Treasury: Peek inside Syracuse’s swanky new event space: Syracuse has a new fancy space for parties, weddings and galas galore, located in the heart of downtown. The ceiling has a spectacular 1931 Renaissance-style mural of the constellations, inspired by a 15th-century astronomer’s map. Take a look inside.

What’s Trending

The latest Manlius swan dilemma: The village of Manlius wants to keep its four cygnets, all siblings, on the village pond. And the village prefers to let the swans breed. The request is the latest discussion between the village and state environmental officials since swans’ mother, Faye, was killed over Memorial Day weekend. The state is trying to reduce the population of mute swans, though. Here’s where the issue stands right now.

Editorial: Gov. Hochul’s proposed budget shows some restraint, for a change: Gov. Video: Fayetteville’s cheesesteak whiz dishes about bad customers on national TV: If you’re considering going online and leaving a bad review about Gino’s Steak & Onion in Fayetteville, you may want to think again. Josh Amidon, the shop’s happy-go-lucky owner, has become somewhat of an online celebrity with his skewering social media posts about customers behaving badly. His regular commentary caught the attention of the “Tamron Hall Show,” a national talk show that brought Amidon in for an on-air interview segment. See how it went (video).

Looking Ahead

It’s cold outside, but it’s time to start thinking about summer concerts: It might be cold and snowy outside in Central New York, but the first concert of the New York State Fair’s 2024 summer lineup has been revealed — and it’s one the kids will like.

Drama at the Dome: SU men stun Miami on buzzer-beater: The Syracuse Orange trailed the Miami Hurricanes during most of the second half of Saturday’s game at the JMA Wireless Dome, but SU fans went home happy after Quadir Copeland drained a game-winning 3-pointer as the final horn sounded, giving the Orange a 72-69 win and sending the JMA Wireless Dome crowd into hysterics.

Frustration again: Bills lose another heartbreaker to Chiefs: The Buffalo Bills season ended on Sunday night as their banged-up defense gave up too many big plays to Patrick Mahomes in a 27-24 loss at Highmark Stadium. Josh Allen drove the Bills into field goal range late in the fourth quarter but kicker Tyler Bass missed the game-tying field — wide right. Here are some takeaways from the game.
