DeShon Elliott is an unofficial member of the Bills Mafia this weekend.
The Miami Dolphins safety let it be known on Instagram on Wednesday that he cheering for the Buffalo Bills this weekend as he wants to see the Kansas City Chiefs’ downfall.
Elliott wrote in an Instagram story, “I pray by the Grace of God on the Chiefs downfall. I hope Buffalo beats them like they stole something.”
Well alright then.
Elliott joined the Dolphins in 2023 and started 15 games with the team. He recorded 83 total tackles (1 TFL), seven passes defensed and one interception for Miami. His lone interception came against the Bills in Week 18. He previously played with the Baltimore Ravens (2019-2021) and the Detroit Lions (2022).
Maybe Elliott is tired of reading the same script out of the AFC when it comes to who represents the conference in the Super Bowl or perhaps he’s still upset about the Chiefs’ 26-7 win over the Dolphins on Wild Card weekend. No matter the reason, it is eye opening to see a player root for a division rival who has dominated his current team in recent years.
