The Buffalo Bills will be without Terrel Bernard, their top linebacker, against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bernard was carted off the field last week at Highmark Stadium during the Bills’ 31-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The injury appeared serious, but Bernard apparently dodged a significant injury and there was some hope that the linebacker would be able to suit up today. Considered a game-time decision, it was determined that Bernard was not ready to go against the Chiefs.

The good news for Buffalo? The team will have a few familiar faces returning to the lineup.

Buffalo’s top cornerback Rasul Douglas will be suiting up for tonight’s matchup. In addition to Douglas, Taron Johnson, arguably the league’s top nickel cornerback, will suit up after clearing the concussion protocol. Starting linebacker Tyrel Dodson will also return for Buffalo in a matchup to determine who will play in the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Here is a look at Buffalo’s full inactive list for tonight’s game.

  • WR Gabe Davis
  • CB Christian Benford
  • LB Terrel Bernard
  • LB Baylon Spector
  • S Taylor Rapp
  • OL Alec Anderson
  • DT Poona Ford

The Chiefs’ inactives include OL Wanya Morris, DT Derrick Nnadi, WR Kadarius Toney, CB Ekow Boye-Doe, DE BJ Thompson, DT Neil Farrell and DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah.
